Let us tell you a love story set in 2020 – an intimate, Covid-secure, small wedding held at Davenport House kind of love story.

Getting married during a pandemic isn’t something many couples imagine, let alone need to plan.  When the lovely Olivia & Adam booked our wedding flower services the pandemic had only just begun.  Little did any of us know about what would lie ahead!  Many couples took the decision not to proceed with their weddings in 2020, but a minority decided that they would, quite literally, save their date.  Despite only being allowed 15 guests (including themselves and the registrar!), Olivia & Adam pushed ahead and tied the knot at the magnificent Davenport House in December 2020! In a year of uncertainty this plucky couple managed to have a dream (Covid-secure!) wedding with the people closest to them.

Olivia knew from the outset that she wanted her winter wedding flowers to look elegantly styled with loose, flowing floral design. The white colour scheme would feature a mix of greenery for variance and texture within the flower arrangements.  To create this look we knew we needed to utilise a collection of foliage together with an assemblage of seasonal white flowers such as Roses, Eustoma (Alissa variety), Veronica, Waxflower, soft Ruscus, Parvifolia, Populus and Eucalyptus. We also incorporated Freesias as a symbolic Grandparent gesture.

The photos captured by Dominic Lemoine Wedding Photography speak for themselves.

We felt privileged to be part of their unforgettable day through creating the floral arrangements, and cannot wait for the big party when things return to normal.
