Given the Spring/Summer trend for 2014 involving pastel colour palettes, we have been musing over some images from past wedding photo shoots. So we dusted off the polaroid’s and thought we’d share these gorgeously sweet pastel and vintage inspired wedding snaps.
The backdrop for this wonderful wedding shoot is the rustic wedding venue of The Barn at Bury Court. The stylist behind the shoot was Sara Gibbs from Darling Lovely Life blog (if you’ve not read it, it’s a must! Heaving with home décor styling, wedding day insight and with a vintage twist), and the lady behind the lens was Brighton-based wedding photographer Emma Lucy.
Our expertise were called upon by Sara for our wedding floristry skills. We usually offer our services to Shropshire brides looking for stunning yet affordable wedding flowers, Bridal bouquets and wedding posies (not forget the Groom and his buttonhole!) for their big day. But we couldn’t resist the commute to Guildford for this wedding shoot. With a brief of ‘candy inspired pastels’ coupled with ‘a bouquet like the balloons in the Dior ‘Miss Dior’ advert’ it sounded like a beautiful wedding to be a part of!
We loved the wedding finishing touches. There were lots of candy cotton coloured details, such as paper straws in milkshake with sprinkles – you know the little details are a big deal on the big day! Don’t brush over them as the littlest things make the biggest impact! Throw in dusky muted hues, a bespoke 1950’s wedding gown by Harlequin Fox Bridal wear and frilly petticoats galore. Feast your eyes on this sweet treat.
