A couple of weeks ago we waved goodbye to 2013 and welcomed the start of 2014 and in a fortnight from now it’ll be farewell to the Water Snake and hello to the Wooden Horse as we celebrate Chinese New Year on the 31st.
I think it’s an exciting time. A new year is like a fresh covering of snow that hasn’t been disturbed, a blank canvas where new thoughts and ideas can start to be drawn. There’s a certain clarity and renewed energy. It’s a new beginning.
Of course we all experience new beginnings throughout the year when projects are started, new ventures are embarked on, babies are born, homes are moved into and as nature wakes after winter. 2013 for me was full of new beginnings with the birth of my daughter, my sister getting married and the relaunch of our website and I am really looking forward to what the next twelve months will bring!
Here at Big Little Things, we are privileged to share many new beginnings on a daily basis. We are fortunate to share the journey from when couples get engaged right through to their wedding preparations and beyond. To help decorate their wedding venue with beautiful flowers and finishing touches to accessorising their children’s nursery with a personalised Bug Little Canvas. We share people celebrating milestone birthdays and anniversaries, as one chapter closes and another opens.
So as we embark on the year of the Wooden Horse, lets hope that we all experience its symbolism of energy and unexpected adventure as well as a wealth of fab new beginnings!
