Order Processing & Delivery

Delivery Time Scales & Charges

Standard UK Delivery is 2-5 working days from date of order despatch via  Royal Mail standard 48 hour delivery service. We do reserve the right to use another service if necessary. 

Our standard delivery charge for postage and packing is £3.95. This will be applied to the order at checkout. Should your order require additional charges due to weight or overseas delivery, our website will calculate this. If we require additional payment, one of our Customer Service Team will contact you directly. If you require your order to be upgrade to a different delivery service, please contact us directly via our contact form on the website. We can then give you prices for this service upgrade.

Please note over peak holidays, such as Christmas, the delivery time frame maybe longer. Other influences beyond our control such as bad weather, may affect the delivery timescale.

All delivery charges are subject to change should the weight or size of the parcel require further postage to be paid.

Direct Despatch Orders

On occasion, an order may come direct from one of our suppliers. This is known as Direct Despatch. As this item is delivered directly to you from the supplier please ensure you check it carefully before signing for it. Items received that are damaged must be reported at the time of delivery and signed for as "Damaged". We will not be able to accept any item back where the damage in transit is not reported at the time of the delivery. If you would like to know which items are from a handpicked supplier who will despatch directly to you, simply let us know.  

International Delivery

Countries we currently deliver to are Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland; and the United States of America.

The price of sending any order overseas is dependant on both the size and the weight of the parcel. All delivery charges are subject to change and our Customer Service Team will contact you before despatching your parcel should this be the case. All prices charged are in GBP.

All deliveries to destinations outside the UK may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied by the importing country at the time the delivery arrives in your country. All applicable duties, fees and any additional charges for customs clearance will be the responsibility of the customer.

Part Shipment of An Order

Please note that if there is an item which is out of stock, but is due to arrive with us within 4 days, your order will be held and despatched together. If the delay is longer than 4 days your order will be part despatched.

The postage charge will only be taken once, even if your order is part shipped due to an item being back-ordered.

Items damaged in transit

We take every effort to ensure our parcels are well-packed when they leave us and your order reaches you in optimum condition. However, if this does not happen please contact us within seven working days and email us pictures of the damaged item(s) to hello@biglittlethings.co.uk and we will resolve the problem as quickly as possible for you.

Please check all goods on receipt as any damaged or faulty goods need to be reported within seven working days. Please note only Monday to Friday are classed as working days. We regret to say that we are unable to exchange items that are reported as damaged in transit after the seven day period.

Order Processing

Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am until 5.00pm. Please note we are closed for all UK bank holidays.

Orders received after 2pm hours will be processed the following day.

Personalised and made to order items will take between 3 to 5 working days to create. If for any reason this timeframe is longer we will contact you.

Notification will be sent to you by email once your order has been received. We will also notify you by email once your order has been despatched.
